Hi Marian,
Love your blog and the fact that you’re a huge food truck fan. On a side-note, you look very familiar… were you a regular poster on anteaterforum.com before it was sold to UCI? Anyway, I’m UCI alum as well (class of 09) and I’m launching a food truck sometime this month or the first week of January. We’re mainly going to be around the downtown LA area but we do plan on taking a day or two out of the week to participate in OC events (UCI is starting a food truck lot on campus). I’d love to invite you out sometime and sample our fare and meet the staff. We’re going to be serving liege waffles. Let me know what you think.
Regards,
George
Hi George,

Hi Marian,
Your blog looks great! In case you haven’t heard yet, the “Patron Secret Dining Society” will be making an announcement tomorrow for their event in LA, which will be coming up soon. I just saw this on the Eater LA blog website. Here’s the website for it –

Hey Marian, just wanted to say thanks for the feature on the Delicious Dumpling tour! Other than the super dorky picture of me holding bread at JJ Bakery, all the pictures are awesome! hahaha, I kid… but not really. =P It was a pleasure meeting you, Cathy, Esther and Krista, and I would love to chow with you ladies again someday. LMK if you have any questions. My walking/talking Arcadia/Taiwanese food wikipedia will do its best to answer them. Thanks again, and hope to hear from you soon!
Hi Michael! That JJ Bakery picture of you is awesome!! Action shot lol! Thank you so much for everything. It was so much fun! Keep in touch!
Hi Marian
My name is Kris and I wandered on to your website after watching one of your YouTube videos. My friend Ernest loved the Macapuno cupcakes that was in your cupcake episode and I must admit it did look pretty good. Being Filipino myself, macapuno is found in a lot of our desserts so I wouldn’t mind adding another type of dessert to that list. My wife Trisha suggested I write you because I know a couple good and unique food places that you may find interesting.
Check out Tasty Clouds, http://www.tastyclouds.com. It’s a filipino owned business in Los Angeles that sells different flavored cotton candy. The owner started it while she was pregnant because of a cotton candy craving. I hope you can check it out and please email me back if you decided to do a show on it.
Best of luck
Kris
Thank you for the comment Kris! Yup I know Tasty Clouds and Nina well. I love her cotton candy!
