What better way to spend a Sunday other than a brunch buffet by the beach and Bloody Marys?!
I was fortunate enough to get invited to a Blogger Brunch and Bloody Mary Mixing Contest inside The Californian at the Hyatt Huntington Beach a week ago. Not only was the food great, but I had such a fun time mixing the Bloody Mary’s from their mixing bar.
Brunch at The Californian is $23.00/person or $38.00/person with unlimited Bloody Mary’s and/or Mimosas. They have a great Valentine’s Day special going on right now. You can get 20% off of Dinner and a V-day spa package when you book both over the upcoming weekend!
Omelet and eggs your way… All you have to do is choose what you want!
Huge assortment of pastries, cereals, fruits and other breakfast items
Look at all those ingredients and spices to custom make your Bloody Marys!
Other bloggers in the fun competition: Teri Williams , Editor of Great Taste Magazine & H.C, LA/OC Foodie Blog
Mine was in the middle. I made an “Asian Spice Bloody Mary” mixed with sriracha sauce, wasabi and garlic chili sauce.
Judges: Jeremy Lambert Director of Outlets , Chef Curtis Toth, and Shannon Sikes, Assistant Director of Food and Beverage
The judges with the bloggers. I had a great time! Thank you to all the bloggers, the judges, Purry PR for setting it up, The Californian and the Hyatt Huntington Beach.

Hi Rhonda,
I was one of the participants and not one of the judges so unfortunately I don’t know what all of their rules/scoring were. You can reach out to the Californian inside the hotel to find out.
